Ecoguard™ CX-5 Universal Connector Hose
The Ecoguard™ CX-5 Universal Connector Hose links the CX-5 Cutting Dust Cover (and other Alpha dust shrouds) to a HEPA wet/dry vacuum. The flexible hose is offered in two lengths — 18" for bench and short-reach work and 54" for extended-reach jobsite cutting. Both lengths use the same universal cuffs and are made in the USA from heavy-duty kink-resistant material.

- Choose the 18" hose (P/N 500026) for tight bench-top cutting or the 54" hose (P/N 500073) when you need extended reach on the jobsite.
- Attach one end of the connector hose to the dust port on the Ecoguard CX-5 cover.
- Attach the other end to your HEPA wet/dry vacuum, using the Air/Exhaust Hose Adapter (HEP110021) if the cuffs do not match.
- Turn on the vacuum before starting the cut so dust is captured from the first second.
- Inspect the hose for cracks or worn cuffs before each shift — a clean seal is required for >90% dust capture.

Which Ecoguard cover does this hose fit?
The CX-5 cutting dust cover. The universal cuffs also adapt to other Alpha dust shrouds and to most HEPA wet/dry vacuums.
What is the difference between the 18" and the 54" hose?
Only the length. The 18" hose (500026) is sized for bench-top cutting; the 54" hose (500073) gives you extended reach when working away from the vacuum.
Can I connect it directly to any shop vacuum?
In most cases yes — the cuffs match standard 1-1/4" and 2-1/4" vacuum adapters. Use the Air/Exhaust Hose Adapter (HEP110021) if your vacuum hose does not seat.
What flow rate is recommended?
A HEPA wet/dry vacuum that delivers strong continuous suction is recommended to achieve the system's >90% dust-capture rating.
