Alpha® VFlex™ Flexible Diamond Sanding Disc 5", #35, 7/8" Arbor (VDF5035)
The Alpha® VFlex™ flexible diamond sanding disc is built for paint, coating, oxide and rust removal, plus burr grinding and chamfering on steel, stainless steel and contoured surfaces. A rubber-sandwich body lets the disc conform to curves while dramatically reducing noise and vibration — an everyday improvement over rigid discs on irregular work. It also runs cleanly on stone, ceramic, composite, cast iron and glass. This listing is VDF5035: 5" diameter, #35 grit, 7/8" arbor for high-speed angle grinders.

- Confirm the disc diameter and arbor match your tool — this VDF5035 is 5" with a 7/8" arbor.
- Mount on a high-speed angle grinder, sander or polisher using the tool's original flange and lock nut (7/8" arbor) or thread directly onto a 5/8"-11 spindle (zinc-hub models).
- Verify grinder no-load RPM does not exceed 5,000 RPM — the maximum for all VFlex sizes.
- Start with #35 grit for aggressive stock removal, #50 for general purpose, #80 for finer finish work.
- Run dry, or feed water at the disc face to suppress dust.
- For virtually dust-free grinding on stone, pair with an Ecoguard dust shroud and HEPA vacuum. Note: some metal powders are combustible — verify material safety before vacuum collection.
- Apply light, even pressure and let the flexible body match the work surface — pressing hard reduces life and cut quality.
- Inspect the disc before each use; replace if torn, glazed or worn below useful diamond depth.
